Christmas at The Piece Hall has officially arrived, and our courtyard is illuminated by twinkly lights, a magnificent tree and a Victorian carousel. It’s just over a week until the grandiose Salon Perdu arrives, ready to host an array of cabaret, comedy, music and general festive fun.

This year we’re proud to be supporting Calderdale Lighthouse - a voluntary run registered charity who are very passionate in ensuring that families and children in Calderdale who are most in need don't go without. In support, we are collecting Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in Calderdale until midday on Saturday 14 December. If you are able to donate a gift, please drop it off at our Welcome Centre.

If you need to keep the kids entertained in the run up to the big day, look no further than our Winter Wonderland Workshops, run by the Heritage & Learning team. Huddle round the fireplace for a story, play some Victorian games and create a beautiful handcrafted gift to take home, with the choice of tree decorations, Jack Frost dream catchers, toys and felted snowmen.

What better way to spend the last Sunday of the year than in the company of the UK’s number one ABBA tribute - ABBA Revival! Grab your tickets and get ready to singalong to all the hits including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and Waterloo. If you’d rather pick your own tunes to dance to then our Silent Disco is perfect; choose from a huge collection of pop, rock and dance anthems.

The Salon Perdu officially opens its doors next week and there are still a handful of tickets available for the first shows including improvised comedy show Any Suggestions, Doctor?; jazz singer Annette Gregory; horror, comedy and rock n roll show Circus of Horrors; and legendary jazz group JTQ The James Taylor Quartet.

From art to antiques, clothes to crystals, records to replica cars and everything in between, The Piece Hall is a treasure trove of independent shops; and there’s nowhere better to pick up a unique gift for your loved ones this Christmas. All that Christmas shopping can be tiring, so be sure to pop into our cafes, bars and restaurants to refuel.
