Chow Down 24 May 2019 to 26 August 2019

24 - 27 May, 26 - 28 July, 23 - 26 Aug

After welcoming over 120,000 people last year, Chow Down return for three weekends of independent street food, craft ale, cocktails, live music and family-friendly activities.

You can expect to find something to suit all tastebuds, diets and budgets - from some of the very best independent street food traders in the UK. Each weekend, Chow Down will be showcasing a different selection of handpicked street food traders, who will be bringing cuisines from all over the UK and the rest of the world, with a target of 25% of the offering being either vegetarian or vegan.

Along with food, they will be bringing some of their favourite craft beer breweries to Halifax, so you can sample some of the finest beers the country has to offer - whether it be draught or in cans - and if beer’s not your thing, fear not - as the prosecco van will be returning, as well as a range of refreshing cocktails, spirits and soft drinks - perfect for those hot summers days.

The building will be open as usual and free of charge to visitors who want to enjoy the shops, cafes, tourist information and heritage spaces. Chow Down’s entry fee will be charged within an enclosed festival area in The Piece Hall grounds. For those who choose to join us at Chow Down, your £3 entry fee will gain you entry for the entire weekend with a stamp allowing you to leave and re-enter throughout the weekend once you have paid. Under 14's go free.
