Live at The Piece Hall is proud to present Grammy award-winning singer songwriter Father John Misty in a UK exclusive headline show, with special guests Edwyn CollinsHookworms and The Orielles.

Halifax’s fast-rising The Orielles, hailed as one of the most exciting young bands in the country right now. Their sound is tinged by influences from 90s alternative rock bands Sonic Youth and Pixies and their debut album ‘Silver Dollar Moment’ was released in February 2018 to much critical acclaim.

The lineup of live music will be complimented by pop-up bars serving craft beers and local street food favourites across the day, alongside our resident independents. The event will take place in The Piece Hall's outdoor courtyard surrounded by the building's magnificent Grade I listed architecture.

Frightened Rabbit

We are all shocked and deeply saddened by the recent loss of Scott Hutchison and our thoughts go out to his family and everyone else who was close to him.

Out of respect to Scott and Frightened Rabbit we have decided not to replace the band on the bill for the forthcoming show.

We will hold a minute of applause and noise to celebrate the life and music of Scott at 7.30pm.

The other artists will have extended set times.

We will also be collecting on the gates for a regional charity who deal with men’s mental health awareness, please give generously to this cause.

We've a selection of the region’s favourite street food vendors trading from the courtyard throughout the day alongside The Piece Hall’s resident food and drink offers. With a focus on local and quality ingredients, foodies will be able to sample some tasty dishes and an assortment of drinks including craft beer, lagers and ales.
