Courtyard. \n\nWednesday 10 August\, 11am – 3pm\nWednesday 17 August\, 11am – 3pn\n\n  \nSAIMA KAUR TEXTILE MAPS \nCreate a beautiful textile map of Calderdale with the help of professional textile artist Saima Kaur. People are invited to help create the landmarks and animals that make our home so distinctive. Courtyard \n\nSaturday 20 August\, 11am – 1.30pm\nSaturday 24 August\, 11am – 1.30pm\n\n  \nSARAH O BOYLE OUTDOOR DECORATIONS \nSarah O‘Boyle will help attendees to create recycled outdoor decorations\, such as woven leaf sculptures and nature wands. Courtyard \n\nMonday 29 August\, 12noon – 2pm\n\n  \nTHE ART CART \nJoin us for drop-in family craft activities at our Art Cart. DESCRIPTION:Sandy Summer Daze\nJoin us for a free family Halifax staycation event. Come to The Piece Hall and enjoy the sand between your toes\, the sounds of the beach and an ice-cream or two as our giant courtyard is transformed into a beachfront with traditional attractions to bring a seaside holiday atmosphere to West Yorkshire. \nSandy Summer Daze features a beach area with deckchairs for parents and children together with buckets & spades\, a colourful beach hut\, games\, two carousel rides*\, a peep-through display and giant deckchair for photo memories of a family day out beside the seaside. \nThis is a free event but booking is essential. \nThe beach area will be open from 10am – 5.15pm each day with free entry for ticket holders. Families can book a 1 hour session throughout the day to relax and have fun in the sand. \nA SEND session is available on Thursday 28 July at 9.15am – 10.30am – this session is for children with special educational needs or disabilities. This session will take place earlier in the day when The Piece Hall is usually less busy to create a quieter environment. Background music will be turned off. The capacity for this session is less than our other sessions to allow more space for your children to play.
