Experience a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable heritage guides who will lead you around the grand colonnades and delve deeper into The Piece Hall’s captivating past. \nPlease contact us if you have accessibility needs and/or require a BSL or autism-friendly tour. This can be arranged upon request. \nTours take place: \n\nTuesday 11:30am – 12:30pm\nThursday 1:00pm – 2:00pm\nSaturdays 11:30am-12:30pm and 1:00pm-2:00pm\nSundays 11:30am-12:30pm\n\nClub 1779 Members are entitled to a free heritage tour! DESCRIPTION:Gritstone Publishing 10th Birthday\nIt’s party time at the Piece Hall for northern writers as a group of authors from the UK’s first publishing co-operative celebrate their 10th anniversary! \nWriters from the Hebden Bridge-based Gritstone Publishing will be reading from their work\, running workshops\, chatting to prospective new writers\, and handing out birthday cake. \nThe event is being organised in association with the independent bookshop The Book Corner which is based at the Piece Hall and where the books written by members of the group will be on sale. \nEstablished by four member-authors looking to assert more control over how their books were brought to market\, the co-operative has grown and is now nine-strong. \nThe most recent author to join is Mike Raine\, a mountaineering instructor and author of the leading handbook on mountain craft. \nGritstone titles are strongly rooted in a sense of place\, with a particular focus on the north of England.
