ZARA

A Mind the Gap and Walk the Plank Co-production

19 & 20 April

When Eva was born, her mother wasn’t prepared for what was coming next.

Eva is no ordinary baby. Eva is a giant threat to society.

The army is called; the world’s media descend on the UK; there are protests and placards, opinions and destruction.

And there is Zara, her mother.

A mother who will defend the child she loves with all her might.

A mother against the world.

For two nights only The Piece Hall in Halifax brings you a spectacular evening of entertainment on a huge scale; the world premiere of ZARA is brought to you by two of the UK’s leading arts organisations – Mind the Gap and Walk the Plank.

This epic event promises to engulf every one of your senses. 3D illuminations will be projected on to the beautiful building making it both a backdrop to the performance and central to the story; the soaring musical score has been created by the esteemed Sarah Llewellyn, composer in residence at the Royal Shakespeare Company; there’s a cast over 100 actors, cherry pickers, army tanks, and a giant mechanical moving baby that’s bigger than a double decker bus!

With refreshment stalls, and pre-show entertainment ZARA promises to be a unique experience that will stay with you long after you leave, and at £8 a head – or £28 for of four – you can bring family and friends for a great evening out.

Catch it here before it moves to London!
