In August 2017, one of the most extraordinary buildings in Britain – The Piece Hall in Halifax – reopened following a £19 million restoration.  It heralds the most dynamic new era for Halifax in generations.

A long held dream is now becoming a reality: join us in this exciting new chapter.

The Piece Hall is now managed by The Piece Hall Trust. An independent charity responsible for breathing new life into this most significant public asset, realising an exciting new chapter and ensuring its long-term survival and continued preservation.

To deliver this vision the Trust is looking to recruit a team of dynamic, ambitious and dedicated individuals to join in realising the incredible potential for The Piece Hall and Calderdale.

Sculpture Commission

In partnership with Yorkshire Sculpture Park we have a unique opportunity for established and up and coming artists to submit proposals for an upcoming sculpture exhibition in The Piece Hall courtyard in 2019.

This will be the first ever sculpture commission at The Piece Hall and, with Yorkshire being known for its sculpture, this site-specific commission will be the start of putting Halifax on the sculptural map.
