We are looking to recruit a dynamic and results-driven Head of Fundraising to lead on all aspects of fundraising for The Piece Hall and to oversee the Development Officer.  The Head of Fundraising will play a key role in The Piece Hall becoming a world class heritage, events, retail, food and business destination.

You will have the exciting opportunity to shape the fundraising strategy at this pivotal stage in the history of this magnificent 200-year old building, generating income from trusts and foundations, corporate members, commercial sponsorship and through individual giving.

This is an ideal role for a highly motivated individual who has demonstrable experience in a senior fundraising or development role in one or more business areas covered by this role – heritage, culture, charity, regeneration or tourism sectors. The successful candidate will have a track record of securing high value grants, sponsorship and donations, combined with enthusiasm and passion for The Piece Hall and its role as a catalyst for the renaissance of Halifax and the surrounding area.

This will be the first ever sculpture commission at The Piece Hall and, with Yorkshire being known for its sculpture, this site-specific commission will be the start of putting Halifax on the sculptural map.

The role

You will be leading the strategy and campaign implementation for a number of clients across B2B and B2C accounts; setting up, managing and delivering projects whilst managing the client relationship, often as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing client accounts and leading client meetings
  • Briefing and managing team members
  • Keeping clients updated on campaign activity and attend meetings as required

The role will contribute to the delivery of high level of service and assist the Senior Chef on duty with storage, preparation and cooking of all food items for the restaurant.
