TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall 2026 has smashed box office records with more than 200,000 tickets already sold for the historic Halifax venue’s biggest ever summer of live music.
The sensational 42-night concert series gets underway this Saturday (June 6) when Yorkshire indie legends Shed Seven play a sell-out headline show in front of 6,000 fans.
This summer’s gigs – which include unmissable headline dates with such global stars as Hollywood Vampires, The Beach Boys, Royel Otis, Tom Jones, Garbage, Scissor Sisters, Turnstile, Paul Weller and CMAT – will draw music fans to Halifax from around the world and deliver a multi-million boost for the local Calderdale economy.

Series co-promoters The Piece Hall Trust and Cuffe and Taylor today confirmed 215,000 tickets had been sold for this summer’s shows to date – smashing the previous box office record, set in 2025, by more than 30,000 tickets.

The Piece Hall’s burgeoning global reputation as one of the best open air music venues saw last year’s TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall series attract gig goers from 53 countries – many travelling from as far afield as America, Brazil, India and Australia.

A Grade I listed architectural and cultural wonder, The Piece Hall is now an award-winning contemporary cultural, community, heritage and live entertainment destination which has welcomed 20 million visitors through its historic gates since it re-opened to the public in 2017.
A significant economic impact assessment was undertaken in 2025 by heritage and cultural sector specialists Counterculture who looked at the local, regional and national benefits brought by all activities at The Piece Hall.
Findings showed The Piece Hall contributed £680m in economic impact between 2015 and 2025, with projections indicating the venue will bring an ongoing boost of around £90m per year into the region.
Counterculture’s report also revealed around 7.2 million visitors from outside Calderdale have been attracted into the borough because of The Piece Hall, delivering a major boost for local businesses with increased spend in hotels, restaurants, bars, transport operators and retailers.
The venue has won an array of awards recently including ‘Inspirational Venue of The Year’ at the 2025 Northern Music Awards, the ‘Backstage Brilliance Award’ at the 2025 Live Awards and ‘Muddy Stilettoes Best Arts Culture & Theatre Award 2025’. The Piece Hall was also shortlisted for ‘Venue of the Year’ in the Music Week 2026 Awards.
