The Piece Hall is proud to support Calderdale SmartMove for their biggest fundraising and awareness-raising event of the year.
Each October people get the chance to sleep out under the stars in the iconic Piece Hall to raise money for the homeless and vulnerable of Calderdale.
The most recent event saw more than 300 people bed down in the courtyard to experience just one night of “rough sleeping” to help those who genuinely find themselves in this position or need extra support to gain or keep a home.
Charity partners have included Focus4Hope and Happy Days with entertainment provided by the West Yorkshire Fire Service and Magpie Movers with teams of local scouts taking part in games and scouting activities before sleeping out in this iconic setting.
Calderdale SmartMove is a registered charity that provides tenancy support to people who are homeless or potentially homeless to help them secure accommodation.
