Tickets

Your confirmation email acts as your ticket. Please make sure you remember to bring your confirmation with you. The code can be scanned from your mobile device. If you do not have access to display your confirmation on your mobile, please ensure that you print your confirmation and bring it with you.

 

Box Office Location and Times

A box office will be available at The Piece Hall on the night of the event. The Box Office will be located at South Gate (on Blackledge).

 

Key Timings

Gates open at 6pm. Show times are always subject to change; however, we expect entertainment to start at 7pm and finish at midnight. We would suggest arriving early to soak up the atmosphere. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO READMITTANCE. WHEN YOU’RE IN THE VENUE, YOU’RE IN!

 

Entry information

Entry will be via South Gate (on Blackledge) and West Gate (near Orange Box).

 

Re Admittance Policy 

Once you leave the venue you will not be allowed back in.

 

What is your age policy for this event?

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult, and under 6s will not be permitted at the event.

 

Bag Policy

All bags are subject to search. To support our staff and speed up your entry into the venue, please avoid bringing a bag if possible. No backpacks along with any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper will be permitted. There are no cloakroom facilities at The Piece Hall.

Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to allow you to pass through our security checks and share this information with all members of your party.

It is your responsibility to keep your personal possessions safe at all times while at The Piece Hall. Neither the management or promoter can accept responsibility for personal property brought into the venue unless caused by the negligence of the promoter or venue management.

 

Prohibited Items

Your safety at The Piece Hall is paramount and we continually liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure robust security measures are in place. In order to ensure this is a safe environment, mandatory bag searches will be carried out and we may search you, your clothing or other items.

The following items are prohibited:

  • Backpacks along with any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper
  • Alcohol bought from outside the venue
  • Smoking/vaping anywhere in The Piece Hall, including the outdoor courtyard
  • Glass bottles, cans, flasks
  • Any other drink receptacles except one sealed 500ml plastic water bottle or one empty 500ml plastic water bottle
  • No backpacks along with any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper
  • Perfume
  • Cool boxes, hampers
  • Flags and banners
  • Helium balloons
  • Flares and firework, smoke grenades, airhorns
  • Laser Pointers/Pens and Glow Sticks
  • Sharp objects, any items that could potentially be used as a weapon
  • Audio or video recording devices such as personal computers, laptops, iPads and tablets
  • Large cameras, recording equipment or tripods
  • Chairs, portable furniture (inflatable or otherwise)
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards or wheeled footwear
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Drones or remote control devices
  • Balls, frisbees or other projectiles
  • Sticks or poles including selfie sticks and go-pros (excluding walking sticks and aids)
  • Umbrellas, parasols, tents, gazebos
  • Lanterns or anything that can be lit with a naked flame
  • Air horns, whistles or other noise-making distractions
  • Unauthorised literature or promotional giveaways
  • Aerosol cans
  • Devises containing batteries (unless for medical need)
  • Items which are or may be illegal including, without limitation, weapons, fireworks, drugs and other controlled substances.
  • Any items deemed unsafe or to have a potential impact on the enjoyment or viewing experience of others
  • The sale of unauthorised merchandise is prohibited

 

Medication

You are permitted to bring required medication into The Piece Hall. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the concert and ensure you keep it safe at all times.

 

Can I bring a camera?

Any cameras that are deemed as “professional” will not be permitted into the arena.

Permitted:
Non-professional recording equipment (point & shoot cameras, flip video cameras, etc.)

Not Permitted:
Professional recording equipment (photo, video, audio), detachable zoom lenses, tripods selfie sticks, or any other commercial equipment.

 

TRAVEL

Car Parking

If you choose to travel by car, Halifax has plenty of car parks and on-street car parking spaces all within walking distance to The Piece Hall.

Public Transport Info

The Piece Hall is located just a few minutes’ walk from Halifax bus and train stations. We recommend you travel by public transport where possible.

Where are the nearest Bus Stations?

The Piece Hall is approximately a five-minute walk from Halifax Bus Station with regular services from across West Yorkshire. Plan your bus journey by visiting Metro. Exit the bus station by the Metro shop, turn right and continue upwards towards Wade Street. Turn left along Market Street and continue along past the row of shops. When you reach the corner, turn left and you will see the West Gate entrance to The Piece Hall.

 

Where is the nearest Train station? 

The Piece Hall is just a five-minute walk from Halifax Railway Station, with direct links to Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford and Manchester stations. To plan your rail journey visit National Rail Enquiries. When leaving the railway station, cross over the road and head directly up Horton Street. Take a right turn just after Railway Hotel on to Blackledge. You will then see The Piece Hall South Gate entrance.

Weather

This is a standing outdoor evening concert so please keep the British weather in mind. We recommend all concert goers should dress appropriately for the expected weather conditions. Umbrellas will not be allowed within the venue as they obscure the view for others.

 

Viewing

Concerts at The Piece Hall are standing and no portable furniture, inflatable or otherwise is permitted.

Ticket holders have access to the general courtyard area for viewing. Balcony tickets are not available for this event.

 

Welfare 

First aid points will be clearly signed throughout the site.

 

Lost Property

Please report any lost items to a staff member on the night. After the event please contact the venue on info@thepiecehall.co.uk to enquire if an item has been located.

 

Crime Prevention

We advise against bringing valuables to the event, however, if you choose to do so please keep them hidden from view where possible.

 

CCTV

The event arena and surrounding areas are covered by CCTV.

 

Are there smoking areas at the venue?

There is no smoking inside the venue.

 

Refreshments

There will be a number of food and drink concessions within the event, catering for all tastes.

Please do not bring food or drink into the venue (unless it is for medicinal purposes). If you have a medical condition, then a doctor’s note will permit diet-specific food and drink only.

Each customer can enter with one sealed 500ml reusable plastic water bottle OR one empty reusable plastic water bottle (not glass or metal). These will be accepted unless an artist requests otherwise which we will inform you of.

There is free drinking water available from water stations around the venue.

 

Is the event fully cashless?

The majority of the bars and food vendors are fully cashless.

 

ACCESSIBILITY

Accessible Viewing Platform

The wheelchair viewing platform has a limited capacity and is strictly for access customers plus 1 essential companion.  A member of staff is located on each platform to offer any help that may be needed.

The entrance for accessible ticket holders is West Gate (next to Orange Box). If you have requested access to the accessible viewing platform, please collect an AVP wristband from the box office in Orange Box. Capacity is limited so wristbands must have been reserved in advance.

 

Ground Conditions

The Piece Hall is a historic building and as such there are some un-even surfaces on the paved flooring. We ask that you take care when moving around the building.

 

Strobe Lighting and Special Effects

Smoke machines, strobe lights, fireworks and other effects may be in use at this event. Anyone affected by these should bear this in mind.

 

Medication 

You are permitted to bring required medication into The Piece Hall. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the concert and ensure you keep it safe at all times.

 

Assistance Dogs

Temporary Impairments 

Please note that The Piece Hall accessible facilities cannot cater for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing injuries and those who are pregnant.

The Piece Hall does not have a car park. Please visit the Calderdale Council website for blue badge parking locations here.

How far is the drop off point to the venue? 

We encourage people to use public transport, but if travelling by car, there are a number of places to drop off, all within walking distance of each of the venue entrances.
