Blur bassist Alex James’ Britpop Classical is hitting the road for its first ever UK tour next year including a date here in Halifax.

The show brings the biggest hits of the Britpop era to life with the epic sound of a full live orchestra.

After a spectacular world premiere that closed this summer’s Big Feastival in front of more than 20,000 fans, this one-of-a-kind live experience will headline TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall on Sunday 19 July.

Joining James on stage will be an all-star guest line-up including Phil Daniels, Saffron of Republica, and Gary Stringer of Reef, DJ Dan & The London Concert Orchestra.

General Admission – Access to general courtyard area.

Balcony – Fast track entry with access to covered balcony areas with upper-level viewing with exclusive access to the private balcony bar & separate balcony toilets.

Live at Lounge – A VIP area with access to a private bar and toilets, prime balcony views of the stage, plus a DJ and access to an afterparty. Includes fast track entry to the venue, a welcome drink plus a souvenir lanyard.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Doors open 6pm. Last entry is 8pm. The event will finish by approximately 10.30pm.

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult, and under 6s will not be permitted at the event.

LOCKERS

Storage facilities are available for rent during TK Maxx Presents Live at The Piece Hall 2026. Secure electronic lockers are located at Square Chapel near South Gate, where you can safely store any belongings or prohibited items during the event and collect them afterwards.

Lockers are available in two sizes:

• Medium (22x25x50 cm)
  (fits 3 summer jackets, or a summer jacket and soft shell backpack)

• Large (36x25x50 cm)
  (fits a backpack or duffel bag)

Lockers can be pre-booked HERE or booked on the day, subject to availability.

Please note: Motorbike helmets do not fit into the lockers.

Re-admittance to TK Maxx Presents Live at The Piece Hall is strictly prohibited, and access to lockers during the show will not be allowed unless in the case of a medical emergency or if you choose not to re-enter the venue.
