Summer Daze Family Fun
Join us for a day of family fun as The Piece Hall courtyard comes to life with carnival creatures, food, music and creative workshops.
Callaloo Carnival Arts bring the sights & sounds of Carnival to The Piece Hall, featuring fabulous Carnival Creatures in a fun, interactive performance that will brighten everyone’s day. Look out for Skating Carnival Kingfishers, Giant Birds, Moths & a Magical Spirit Tree! The performance is set to the music of DJ Soca Haze and will take place at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm.
Get Creative and join Callaloo Carnival Arts in their drop-in art workshops and make a Paper Moth from recycled paper, inspired by a Poem in the book ‘Lost Spells’ by Robert Macfarlane. Workshops will take place at the following times: 11am – 12.30pm, 1 – 2.30pm and 3 – 4pm.
Throughout the day there will be a selection of stalls to browse, and performances from One Steel Band.
