Scrutiny Meeting Update
The Piece Hall willingly attended a Scrutiny Meeting with Calderdale Council on 13 January 2026 and engaged in productive and open conversation about the value of investment and its continued growth for the benefit of Calderdale and the country at large. Halifax’s iconic landmark of course wants to keep entry free for all but has to consider all possible options.
As soon as the minutes and actions from the Scrutiny Meeting are received, we’ll respond in the customary way.
We welcome any constructive dialogue from interested local parties who want The Piece Hall to prosper for the benefit of our local communities, families, young people, our many small business owners and the Borough as a whole.
